Por que?

This friend and I met in 7th grade Spanish class and quickly realized that we shared a competitive spirit and knack for Spanish - which resulted in this next story. We were prompted to write a 25 word composition...and well, it escalated quickly. Soon we were pushing 100 words and neither of us wanted to give up. This is especially amazing considering that this was our first year of spanish class, so we probably only knew 50 words total. Anyway, we're racing to the bell to see who can have the longest composition, and I finally leave, not wanting to be late. Well, she came late to gym and beat me by a couple words.
